The upcoming drama Typhoon Company may have found its new female lead. Following Geum Sae Rok’s exit due to scheduling conflicts, actress Kim Min Ha is in discussions to join Lee Junho in the project.
Kim Min Ha Possibly Joins Typhoon Company
According to a report by Xports News on January 13, Kim Min Ha, known for her role in the AppleTV+ series Pachinko, has been approached for a lead role in Typhoon Company. This news comes after it was reported last week that Geum Sae Rok, known for her roles in dramas like Youth of May, The Interest of Love, and Soundtrack #2, had to withdraw from the drama due to scheduling issues with other projects.
Kim Min Ha’s agency, Noon Company, confirmed that she has received an offer for Typhoon Company but stated that nothing has been finalized yet. tvN has included Typhoon Company (also known as Tae Poong Company) in its 2025 K-drama lineup, suggesting a premiere within the year. However, the change in the female lead has raised questions about the production timeline.

About Typhoon Company
Typhoon Company (also referred to as Typhoon Boss) tells the story of Kim Tae Poong, the CEO of Typhoon Company, a role set to be played by Lee Junho after he completes filming for Cashero. The character previously intended for Geum Sae Rok, and now potentially for Kim Min Ha, Oh Mi Sook, is the eldest daughter of a family who bears the family’s financial burdens.
The drama will portray the struggles faced by small to medium-sized businesses during the IMF crisis in 1997. Filming was scheduled to begin in January. The drama is directed by Lee Na Jung, known for directing dramas such as Fight for My Way, Love Alarm, Mine, and See You in My 19th Life.
