Hyun Bin has shown his commitment to acting by performing his own action scenes in the film Harbin, even sustaining a back injury.
Hyun Bin’s Dedication to Action Scenes
Hyun Bin recently returned to the big screen in the historical action-thriller Harbin, which began showing in cinemas worldwide in December 2024. The actor appeared quite different in this new role.
On January 13, Hyun Bin and Harbin‘s director, Woo Min Ho, appeared on MBC FM4U’s Perfect Day. During the show, Hyun Bin revealed that he performed all of his own action scenes without a stunt double. He explained his decision:
This way, the camera can capture the actor more closely. If there’s a body double, it’s difficult to portray intricate expressions.
Hyun Bin further explained that he understood the importance of this approach as an actor. He wanted the camera to fully capture the characters’ struggles in Harbin, so he chose to do the action scenes himself.
