From Legal Battles to Farmland
Kim Hyun Joong faced legal challenges, including accusations of assault and battery from a past relationship. A paternity test confirmed he is the father of a child. He also had a DUI incident. In 2022, he married and now has two sons.
He purchased a 660-square-meter plot of land in Icheon for $150,000. Over the past decade, the land’s value dropped to $22,500. Because it is farmland, he had to use it for farming.
Corn, Community, and Concerts
Kim Hyun Joong started farming corn, which has a short growth period. He sought advice from a village chief. He faced a setback when strong winds destroyed his cornfield. He built a strong bond with the village chief and used his network to arrange for trot singer Shin In Seon to perform at a local festival in September 2024.
He maintains his entertainment career. In 2023, he completed a world tour in nine Latin American countries, and in 2024, he held an international dance concert. He also acted in a Korea-Japan drama. He now balances farming with his overseas activities.
