Kwon Ji An, also known as Solbi, is using her art to fight cyberbullying. She will participate in the “STOP! Cyberbullying” exhibition, a two-day event aimed at raising awareness about online harassment. The event happens at the National Assembly Hall in Seoul on March 25th and 26th.
Art Against Online Harassment
The exhibition wants to show the public how serious cyberbullying has become. It’s a problem that affects everyone, not just famous people. Social media, news, videos, and messaging apps are all used to spread harmful content. The goal is to make people think about how they act online and to create a safer space.
Kwon Ji An joins other artists like Kim Won Geun, Kim Jin Woo, Kim Tae Young, Seo Seung Jun, and Illos. They will all display artwork that shows the damage caused by cyberbullying. The exhibition hopes to make people think about their online behavior and take responsibility.
Personal Stories and Artistic Responses
Kwon Ji An will show her documentary, “Painting Through Pain.” She stars in the film, which won an award at the 2024 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. The documentary tells her story of dealing with online rumors, mean comments, and cyber harassment. It shows the emotional pain caused by online abuse.
She will also show her “Apple” series. This artwork came from a mean online comment that said, “At least you know how to paint an apple.” She turned this negative comment into art, sending a message of healing and clean language. She wants people to think about how their words affect others.
Exhibition curator Jeon Hye Yeon said,
“We hope that visitors recognize the alarming reality of cyberbullying through visually striking and thought-provoking works, including installations, sculptures, kinetic art, and media art.”
The “STOP! Cyberbullying” exhibition is organized by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Young Bae and Cultural Nomad. It has support from big tech companies like Naver, Meta, ByteDance, and YouTube. These companies want to help make the internet a better place.

Kwon Ji An also plans to participate in a special exhibition in Porto, Portugal, in May.
