The Rainbow Taxi team is taking their most personal mission to a dangerous new level. After reopening the 15-year-old case that sparked their entire vigilante operation, the team will push deeper into a match-fixing ring in the upcoming episodes. Episodes 7 and 8 of Taxi Driver Season 3 are set to arrive on December 12 and 13, 2025.

The story continues its regular Friday-Saturday broadcast schedule on SBS in South Korea at 9:50 PM Korea Standard Time (KST). For international viewers, new episodes become available to stream with subtitles on Viki shortly after the Korean broadcast. In some regions, the series is also available on Viu.

What the Upcoming Episodes Will Focus On

The new episodes will see Kim Do-gi, played by Lee Je-hoon, go deep undercover. To infiltrate and dismantle the match-fixing operation, he adopts a new identity as a match-fixer himself. His target is Dong-min, the former volleyball teammate tied to the old case, who is now a gym owner running a secret gambling den.

Do-gi’s plan is to propose an alliance with Dong-min. His goal is to get close enough to expose the original masterminds behind the illegal scheme and finally uncover the truth about the murder of Min-ho, the victim at the heart of the 15-year-old mystery. As Do-gi gains their trust, he will also begin to target the university volleyball players currently under the influence of Seong-uk, a suspicious coach.

The psychological battle is set to intensify. A preview hints that Do-gi will start to haunt Seong-uk by impersonating Min-ho, sending him ominous warnings that they will “meet him soon”. This manipulation aims to break Seong-uk’s control and force the truth to the surface. The preview ends with a dramatic scene suggesting escalating dangerโ€”a car crash followed by a vehicle engulfed in flames.

Recap of the Story So Far: The 15-Year-Old Case Returns

The recent episodes, 5 and 6, shifted the season’s focus to a very personal cold case for the team’s leader, Jang Sung-chul (Kim Eui-sung). Fifteen years ago, Sung-chul was unable to help a man named Dong-su find justice for his missing son, Min-ho. A talented volleyball player, Min-ho disappeared after a locker room fight with his teammate, Dong-min. With Min-ho’s body never found, Dong-min received only a light sentence for assault, leaving Dong-su devastated.

Sung-chul gave Dong-su the very first Rainbow Taxi calling card, encouraging him to seek revenge, but Dong-su vanished and the case went cold. Now, Dong-su has reappeared, suffering from amnesia due to an accident. His sudden return prompts Sung-chul and the entire Rainbow Taxi team to reopen the case, determined to find answers.

Their investigation, aided by hacker Ahn Go-eun (Pyo Ye-jin) and mechanics Choi Kyung-gu (Jang Hyuk-jin) and Park Jin-eon (Bae Yoo-ram), made a critical breakthrough. They discovered a third person was present at the locker room fight: Seong-uk, a university volleyball coach with a questionable background.

The team also uncovered that Dong-min’s gym is a front. Inside a hidden room, Do-gi found a sophisticated setup with multiple computer screens showing live volleyball matches, revealing an active match-fixing operation run by Dong-min and Seong-uk. This discovery at the end of episode 6 sets the stage for the high-stakes undercover mission in episodes 7 and 8.
