What Happened in Episode 1?
The series begins with the mysterious death of a university student named Puifai after a night out with friends. The case brings together two very different police officers.
Captain Jade is a seasoned investigator known for his casual approach, often skipping his official uniform. Inspector Kamin is newly transferred and a strict follower of rules and procedure. Their partnership starts with immediate conflict; Jade issues Kamin a traffic ticket, only to discover later that Kamin is his new partner.
The investigation reveals that Puifai was with a group of six other students from influential families. One of them is Jay, who is also Captain Jade’s younger brother. During questioning, the group is not fully cooperative. Tensions rise when Puifai’s boyfriend, Champ, is pulled from the investigation by his powerful father. Jay privately hints to his brother that there are deeper secrets and tensions within the friend group that have not been shared with the police.
