A new teaser for Ryan Murphy‘s upcoming FX series, The Beauty, shows a world where a single shot can make you stunningly beautiful, but the cost is terrifying. The series is set to premiere on January 21, 2026.
The story follows two FBI agents, played by Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall, who are sent to Paris to investigate the mysterious deaths of international supermodels. They soon discover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms people into visions of physical perfection, but with deadly consequences. Their investigation puts them in the path of a shadowy tech billionaire known as The Corporation, played by Ashton Kutcher, who will stop at nothing to protect the trillion-dollar empire he built on the miracle drug “The Beauty”.
What Is The New Series About?
The Beauty is a global thriller that mixes high fashion, body horror, and a deadly epidemic. The official description asks a central question: “what would you sacrifice for perfection?”.
The show is based on a comic book series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Ryan Murphy, the creator behind hits like American Horror Story and Nip/Tuck, explained that the show’s idea comes from what he calls the “Ozempic culture”.
“One little shot, and suddenly you’re going to look better and feel better, and all your problems are going to go away,” Murphy said in an interview with Variety. “But what are you really working on? What’s going on with you that you feel you need to do that? Sometimes it is health, sometimes it’s vanity.”
The show features a large, globe-trotting story. The agents’ mission takes them from Paris to Venice, Rome, and New York as they try to stop the virus from altering humanity’s future. Murphy has called this his biggest project yet, comparing its scale to Game of Thrones.
Meet the Main Characters and Star-Studded Cast
The series brings together a mix of established actors and famous faces in surprising roles. The main cast is led by Murphy regular Evan Peters as FBI Agent Cooper Madsen and Rebecca Hall as his partner, Jordan Bennett.
Ashton Kutcher plays the villainous tech mogul known only as The Corporation, who created the “Beauty” drug. His lethal enforcer, called The Assassin, is played by Anthony Ramos. Jeremy Pope joins the cast as Jeremy, an outsider who gets caught in the middle of the spreading chaos.

Global Release Date and How to Watch
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 21, 2026. This is when the first three episodes of the 11-episode season will debut.
The release schedule is designed for weekly viewing. After the first three episodes launch, a new episode will premiere each following Wednesday. For the final two weeks of the season, two episodes will be released each week.
- In the United States: The show will air on the FX television channel at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It will also be available to stream on Hulu starting at 9 p.m. ET on the same day.
- Internationally (including Canada): The series will be available to stream on Disney+.
Filming for the large-scale production began in New York City in December 2024. The composers for the series is Mac Quayle, a frequent collaborator with Ryan Murphy.
