The new weekend K-drama “Surely Tomorrow“ has been making people feel all the feelings since it started airing in December 2025. The Lead Couple: Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An
At the heart of the drama are its two lead stars, whose chemistry drives the entire story.
Park Seo Joon plays Lee Gyeong-do, an entertainment reporter for the Dongwoon Daily News. His character is described as an ordinary office worker, but his life gets complicated when he has to report on a scandal. The problem? The man at the center of the affair is married to Gyeong-do’s ex-girlfriend, Seo Ji-woo. Park Seo Joon is well-known for his leading roles in popular dramas like Itaewon Class and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.
Playing opposite him is Won Ji An as Seo Ji-woo. Ji-woo is Gyeong-do’s first love, whom he met in his twenties at a theater club. They broke up, got back together years later, and broke up again. Now, a decade later, they meet under the worst possible circumstances: Gyeong-do is reporting on the scandal involving her husband. Won Ji An is recognized for her role in the series D.P.

Seo Ji Woo’s Family and Circle
The female lead’s world is shaped by her strong family and the people connected to her.
Lee El takes on the role of Seo Ji-yeon, Ji-woo’s older sister. She is not just a sibling but also the CEO of Jarim Apparel, a fashion company that becomes a significant part of the storyline. Her character adds a layer of family duty and corporate intrigue to the plot.
Playing their mother is veteran actress Nam Gi Ae as Jang Hwan-kyung. Kim Woo Hyung appears as Kang Min-woo, who is Ji-yeon’s husband. Oh Dong Min plays the pivotal role of Cho Jin-myeon, Ji-woo’s ex-husband, whose actions kick off the entire story.
Lee Gyeong Do’s Friends and Colleagues
Gyeong-do’s life as a reporter and his personal friendships provide support and context for his character.
His close friends are Lee Joo Young and Kang Ki Doong, who play a married couple, Park Se-yeong and Cha Woo-sik. Se-yeong is the director of an art school. Her husband, Woo-sik, has dreams of becoming an actor. Another friend in his circle is Jo Min Kook as Lee Jeong-min, a used car dealer.
At the Dongwoon Daily News, Gyeong-do works with several colleagues. Kang Mal Geum plays Jin Hwan-kyung, an editor in the entertainment department. Han Eun Seong is Kim Du-jin, another reporter in the same department. Jeong Ha Jin joins the cast as Nam Bo-ra, an intern reporter.
