Three years later, in 2027, another threat emerges. The Skar King, a tyrannical ape who has been controlling a frozen Titan called Shimo, tries to surface from Hollow Earth. Kong returns to the surface to warn the humans. Godzilla, who has been powering up across the globe, meets Kong for a rematch, but they eventually join forces to stop the Skar King and Shimo.
