HYBE Labels subsidiary ADOR has responded to the legal notice filed by members of NewJeans with an official statement on November 14 KST, addressing the matter and denying circulating rumors.
ADOR’s Official Statement
The agency issued the following statement:
“Hello, this is ADOR.
First and foremost, the legal notice was formally received by the agency this morning, and we are currently reviewing the contents while considering the requests outlined. We will do our best to resolve the issues wisely and continue our relationship with the artists.
Second, in response to inquiries about the involvement of an external investor company, we would like to once again remind you that Min Hee Jin has firmly denied all rumors of her meeting with external investors and of the involvement of the family members of NewJeans as false.”
This statement confirms that the agency has begun the process of reviewing the legal notice and has committed to responding within the required 14-day timeframe (or by November 28 KST).
Meanwhile, earlier this month, ADOR’s Ex-CEO Min Hee Jin became the subject of rumors alleging involvement with external investor DAVOLINK for a potential investment contract. The speculation extended to claims that a family member of NewJeans member Hyein, referred to as “Chairman A” of “H” company, had received a candidacy nomination for an internal director position at DAVOLINK.
However, after the rumors surfaced, DAVOLINK announced that “Chairman A” and five others were removed from the internal director candidacy lineup, further distancing the company from the controversy.
Next Steps
As ADOR reviews the legal notice and addresses the requests made by the artists, the entertainment industry awaits further developments. The agency’s commitment to resolving the matter “wisely” emphasizes maintaining a working relationship with NewJeans despite the ongoing tensions.
