Winter, a member of the K-pop group aespa, faced verbal abuse at her hotel in Shanghai following false dating rumors. A video circulating online shows a crowd yelling curses at the singer as she entered the hotel.
Winter traveled to Shanghai alongside fellow aespa member Karina for the KMS Offline Fansign Event scheduled for December 15. Despite initial uncertainty due to Winter’s health concerns, she was seen at Gimpo International Airport today before boarding the flight.
However, upon arrival in Shanghai, a group of individuals awaited outside their hotel and subjected Winter to verbal attacks.
Fans Condemn Harassment
In the video, people can be seen recording and shouting aggressively in multiple languages, including Korean, English, and Mandarin. Fans believe the hostility stems from recent rumors linking Winter to ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, which both agencies—BeLift Lab and SM Entertainment—have denied.
