The wait for the next chapter of the hit Filipino series is almost over. Ang Mutya ng Section E Season 2 has a new confirmed release date. The show will now premiere on Thursday, December 4, 2025, on the streaming platform Viva One. Viva One officially shared the new schedule through its Instagram channel. The series, which gained a massive global audience, is also known internationally as The Jewel of Section E and The Muse of Section E on platforms like Rakuten Viki. While the first season is available on Viki, the new season will stream exclusively on the Viva One app, which can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play Store.
While the makers have not shared a specific reason for the date change, reports suggest it was due to scheduling conflicts. Filming for the new season is already in progress, introducing new characters to the story.

Titled The Dark Side, the new season will explore the more complex and hidden aspects of the characters. The story will focus on buried secrets coming to light, with Jay-jay discovering Keifer’s initial plan against her. A key moment from the source material involves Keifer telling Jay that he used her, a revelation that the entire Section E was aware of.
The complicated love triangle remains central to the plot. Jay-jay is still engaged to Yuri due to family pressures, but her heart belongs to Keifer. The new season will show the consequences of these tangled relationships.
New characters will play significant roles in stirring up drama and uncovering painful truths for Jay. The cast expands to include Joko Diaz and Nathalie Hart as Keifer’s parents, Kaizer and Serina Watson. Taneo joins as Sato, a new rival for the Section E gang, and Rhen Escaño appears as Honey Bee Ryder, Keifer’s secretary.
The season will also provide answers to questions from the first season, including the reason behind Jay’s fear of blood, the truth about her father’s actions, and the mystery surrounding Percy.
