A reunion of BIGBANG might be happening sooner than fans expected! Reports suggest that G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are in discussions to reunite at the 2024 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
According to a report by News1, the iconic boy group is considering a special performance for this yearโs MAMA. It has been almost a decade since BIGBANG last took the stage as a full group at MAMA in 2015. While they won the โBest Vocal Performanceโ award in 2022 with their hit single โStill Life,โ they did not perform on stage at the time.
Fans were thrilled by the surprise appearance of three members at Taeyang‘s solo concert, THE LIGHT YEAR, in September. Now, with speculation of another performance at one of Koreaโs biggest K-pop award shows, excitement continues to grow. MAMA has a global fanbase, and BIGBANGโs potential performance would undoubtedly be one of the eventโs highlights.
This yearโs MAMA will take place on November 21 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and on November 22-23 at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. The US venue has drawn major attention, as it represents the largest music market in the world.
