BLACKPINK’s Jennie recently brought humor to the set of the variety show My Name is Gabriel by denying that she is a K-pop idol, despite being one of the most recognizable members of BLACKPINK. The funny moment occurred while Jennie was living undercover as Maria, a farmhouse owner, for 72 hours.
In a preview clip from the October 4, 2024 episode, Jennie was approached by three guests at her farmhouse, who thought they had seen her somewhere before. Jennie, staying true to her role on the show, denied knowing what they were talking about. One of the guests pressed further, saying he recognized her from a poster in his sister’s room and wondered if she was part of a group. Jennie, keeping her disguise intact, insisted, “I work here.”
The situation got even more amusing when another guest asked if she sings a familiar line like “BLACKPINK in your area.” Jennie hilariously shook her head, still denying her identity as a BLACKPINK member.
Watch the funny exchange on My Name is Gabriel, airing later tonight on JTBC and Disney+.
