The 2025 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, was canceled on June 13 after just one day due to extreme weather. Organizers evacuated attendees as heavy thunderstorms flooded campsites and made conditions unsafe. The festival promised full or partial refunds for ticketholders.
Bonnaroo started on June 12 with performances by Luke Combs, Rebecca Black, and others. By Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service warned of worsening conditions, forcing organizers to cancel the remaining days.
โWe are beyond gutted, but we must make the safest decision and cancel the remainder of Bonnaroo,โ the festival said in a statement. โThe updated forecast shows significant and steady precipitation that will produce deteriorating camping and egress conditions.โ
Fans were asked to leave the festival grounds safely. Those with stable campsites or RVs were told to stay overnight to help prioritize evacuations for others in worse conditions.
The festivalโs full lineup included Tyler, The Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, and more. Only Thursdayโs acts performed before the cancellation.
Refunds will be processed automatically. One-day ticket holders for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will get full refunds. Four-day pass buyers will receive 75% back. Parking passes will also be refunded.
This is the second time Bonnaroo has been disrupted by weather. In 2021, Hurricane Idaโs remnants caused a similar cancellation.
โWe have put our hearts and souls into making this weekend the most special one of the year,โ organizers said. โThank you for your patience and positivity.โ
Fans expressed disappointment online but supported the decision for safety. Many shared memories of past Bonnaroos while hoping for better luck next year.
