Netflix has pulled back the curtain on Bridgerton Season 4, releasing a new teaser that reveals the long-awaited love story of Benedict Bridgerton. The streaming service announced the season will arrive in two parts in early 2026, shifting the spotlight to the artistic and often overlooked second son of the Bridgerton family.
The brief but charged teaser, narrated by the ever-present Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews), shows a masked Benedict and a mysterious woman in a silver gown passing each other on a grand staircase. A single silk glove drops, and the pair share a look of instant, electric connection. This is the first meeting between Luke Thompson’s Benedict and his love interest, Sophie Baek, played by newcomer Yerin Ha.

Season 4, adapting Julia Quinn’s third novel, “An Offer from a Gentleman,” changes everything.
The central mystery begins at Lady Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball. There, Benedict is enchanted by a captivating “Lady in Silver.” Unbeknownst to him, the woman behind the mask is Sophie, a resourceful maid working for a formidable society lady. Benedict, with reluctant help from his sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie), sets out to find the lady in high society, not realizing his heart’s desire exists in a completely different world.
“The storyline is a bit of a twist on ‘Cinderella.’ You remember being told those stories as a child โ the magic and the romance of them,” Luke Thompson told Netflix’s Tudum site. “It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton”.
Meet the New Faces in the Ton
A new season brings new characters to the social fray. The key newcomer is Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek. Ha described being drawn to Sophie’s resilience, stating, “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles โ something that she constantly has to overcomeโฆ Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict”.
Sophie is employed by Lady Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung. Araminta is a twice-widowed mother under immense pressure to marry off her two daughters during this season. Her daughters are Rosamund Li (Michelle Mao), a beautiful and vain debutante eager to please her mother, and Posy Li (Isabella Wei), her kinder, more dreamy younger sister. Showrunner Jess Brownell notes that Rosamund and her mother are so focused on their goals that “the Bridgertons don’t register much for them at first, beyond the fact that Benedict proves to be quite the catch this season”.
