BTS’ V, also known as Kim Taehyung, and actor Kim Min Jae are staying active even during their military break. On September 25th KST, bodybuilder Ma Sunho, who was also a contestant on the show Physical: 100, shared a photo of the two friends on social media, earning praise for their dedication to fitness.
Ma Sunho captioned the photo: “Proud young men working out even during their military leave, Taehyung & Min Jae.” In the image, both BTS’ V and Kim Min Jae showed off their toned physiques, which fans were quick to praise. The post immediately went viral among BTS’ ARMY, who were thrilled to see V’s progress during his time off.
V and Kim Min Jae: Buff and Focused
Dressed in a simple black tank top and grey shorts, V stood in front of a mirror alongside his friend Kim Min Jae. The picture revealed their impressive muscles, showing they had been focusing on fitness during their military leave. Fans of both stars were excited by their updated look, with many commenting on how much V’s physique has developed.
Ma Sunho also mentioned that the trio spent two days working on full-body weight training and joked about how he envied their youth and looks. He added that he hoped to meet them again for a meal of ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab) when they return for their next military break.
V enlisted as an active-duty soldier in December last year. He is currently serving in the special task force of the Military Police at the 2nd Corps Command in Chuncheon. Despite his busy military life, he continues to capture attention with his new, muscular look and healthy tan, making waves on social media every time he shares updates.
Recently, V attended IU’s HEREH World Tour 2024, and before starting his military service, he appeared in the music video for “Love Wins All.” The video has been a huge hit, and his presence in it was loved by fans worldwide.

Even though V is inactive, he continues to make history with his music. His song “Love Me Again,” from his first solo album Layover, reached an impressive 800 million streams on Spotify. The music video for the song has also passed 102 million views on YouTube.
In addition to this, V released the English digital single “FRI(END)S,” which gained quick popularity. The track has now reached over 300 million streams on Spotify, proving his influence even during his military break.
