Suga’s Alleged DUI Incident: Police to Conduct Further Investigation
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul is preparing to summon BTS member Suga for questioning regarding allegations of driving an electric scooter under the influence of alcohol. The incident reportedly took place on the evening of August 6 near his residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu.
Suga allegedly fell off his electric scooter, prompting a patrolling police officer to approach him. The officer administered a breathalyzer test, which showed a blood alcohol content of 0.227%, significantly exceeding the legal limit for license revocation, set at 0.08%.
At the time of the incident, the police did not recognize Suga as a BTS member. Due to his intoxicated condition, they could not conduct a comprehensive investigation. Their actions were limited to the breathalyzer test, after which Suga was sent home.
The authorities are now coordinating with Suga to determine the date of his formal appearance for further questioning. The police aim to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the exact amount of alcohol consumed.
