Disney has officially confirmed the cast for Camp Rock 3, with the Jonas Brothers and Maria Canals-Barrera returning to the beloved franchise. While Demi Lovato will not reprise her role as Mitchie Torres, she joins as an executive producer. The new film introduces fresh talent and follows Connect 3’s search for their next opening act at Camp Rock.

Returning Cast Members

Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas are set to reprise their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, respectively, the members of the band Connect 3. They will appear as guest stars in the movie and also serve as executive producers. Maria Canals-Barrera returns as Connie Torres, Mitchie’s mother and the camp’s chef. Demi Lovato, though not acting in this installment, is an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers.

โ€œBringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we canโ€™t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation,โ€ said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television.

New Faces at Camp Rock

The movie introduces a new generation of campers, played by up-and-coming young actors. Liamani Segura (Descendants: Wicked Wonderland) will play Sage, a bold and determined camper, while Hudson Stone joins as her easygoing brother, Desi. Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom) takes on the role of Rosie, a cello prodigy, and Malachi Barton (Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires) plays Fletch, the camp’s bad boy. Casey Trotter (The Thundermans) portrays Cliff, a drummer with his own beat, and Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean play Callie and Madison, respectively. Sherry Cola (Joy Ride) joins the franchise as Lark.

Storyline and Production Details

Camp Rock 3 follows Connect 3 as they lose their opening act for a major reunion tour. They return to Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers compete for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise, and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances. Filming began in Vancouver in September 2025, directed by Veronica Rodriguez (The Slumber Party) and written by Eydie Faye (Slumber Party). The movie is produced by Disney Branded Television and features choreography by Jamal Sims.

Fan Reactions and Absences

Some fans expressed disappointment over Demi Lovato’s absence from the acting lineup. Social media comments included questions like, “Where’s Demi?” and statements such as, “Iโ€™m not watching without Demi.” Other original cast members, like Alyson Stoner (Caitlyn), Jasmine Richards (Margaret โ€œPeggyโ€ Dupree), Meaghan Martin (Tess Tyler), and Chloe Bridges (Dana Turner), are not included in the current cast list. Daniel Fathers (Brown Cesario) and Matthew Finley (Luke Williams) have also not been confirmed for the third movie.

Release Information

Camp Rock 3 will premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+, though an exact release date has not been announced. The project marks a significant moment for Disney Channel Original Movies, as the first two films were among the top 10 most-watched in the channel’s history.
