Hanako Greensmith returned as Paramedic Violet Mikami. She was joined by Jocelyn Hudon as Paramedic Lyla Novak and Brandon Larracuente as Firefighter Sal Vasquez. The episode teased a complicated love triangle involving these three characters.
Vasquez seemed to be struggling with feelings for both Violet and Novak. The episode showed the three of them trying to figure out their friendship as emotions started to change.
