Oliver Platt plays Dr. Daniel Charles, the Chief of Psychiatry. In this episode, he returned to Gaffney Medical Center after recovering from his stroke. He took on a tough case involving a teenage football player. While Dr. Rabari tried to misdiagnose the boy, Charles found out the teen had PTSD from being abused by his coach.
Sarah Ramos plays Dr. Caitlin Lenox. Episode 18 showed her hiding a deadly genetic condition. She inherited the same rare disease that killed her mother. Instead of facing reality, she started partying and acting recklessly. Her behavior pushed Dr. Ripley away for good.
Luke Mitchell plays Dr. Mitch Ripley. He had enough of Lenox’s risky choices. He watched her push a father into a dangerous surgery for his 8-year-old son. Later that night, he dropped Lenox at her apartment and drove away. He told her their relationship went from fun to “a little terrifying.”
Steven Weber plays Dr. Dean Archer. He treated the mother from a serious car accident. After she died, he tried to comfort the father who lost his wife and daughter in one day.

Darren Barnet plays Dr. John Frost. He treated Naomi’s boyfriend in the emergency room. He got jealous and said some awkward things. By the end of the episode, Naomi found him in the locker room and kissed him.
S. Epatha Merkerson plays Sharon Goodwin, the head of the hospital. Her son David came to visit. He wanted to find his biological father because his girlfriend is pregnant. The father refused to have a relationship with David.
