Actor Dia Mirza and businessman Vaibhav Rekhi marked their third wedding anniversary on February 15, 2024, with some unseen photos and sweet notes on social media. The couple, who began dating in 2020, got married in a simple and eco-friendly ceremony in the garden area of Dia’s Bandra residence, in the presence of their family and close friends. They also became parents to a baby boy, Avyaan Azad Rekhi, in May 2021.

Dia Mirza took to Instagram to share a series of photos from their wedding day, capturing their joy and emotions. She dedicated the post to her husband, writing, “On this day we cried copiously. Tears of joy and gratitude. May we continue to hold each other in our darkest hours, laugh, love and value the miracles of life. Thank you baby for every single sunrise and sunset we have shared. Happy Anniversary Husband #SunsetKeDivane #ThankYouPreeta”. She also thanked her photographer TejInder Singh Khamkha for the beautiful pictures.
The photos showed Dia Mirza looking radiant in a red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango, adorned with mogra flowers in her hair. Vaibhav Rekhi complemented her in a white kurta-pyjama and a beige Nehru jacket. The couple was seen smiling, hugging, and taking pheras in front of a female priestess, who conducted the wedding rituals. They also had bells attached to their chairs for the guests to ring during their pheras, adding a unique touch to their ceremony.

Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi welcomed their son Avyaan on May 14, 2021, via an emergency C-section. The actor announced the news on Instagram, revealing that their son was born prematurely and was in the neonatal ICU. She also shared a glimpse of his tiny hand, holding hers and Vaibhav’s.
She wrote, “To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, ‘To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.’ These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav and my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU.”
She added, “A sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very severe bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life threatening. Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via an emergency C-section. As we watch this tiny being, this Zen master in awe and wonder, we learn from him, in all humility, the true meaning of trusting the universe and of parenthood. And to not be afraid, and so we humbly take the lead from his resilience and courage. We do not have enough words to thank all those who continue to help us live this story of hope and faith and create a safe, healing, nurturing space for Avyaan and I. He will be home soon and his elder sister Samaira and grandparents are waiting to hold him in their arms.”
Dia Mirza also has a stepdaughter, Samaira, from Vaibhav Rekhi’s previous marriage. The actor often shares photos and videos of her bonding with Samaira, calling her a ‘blessing’ in her life.
Dia Mirza, who was last seen in the road drama Dhak Dhak alongside Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi, is currently enjoying her break from work and spending quality time with her family.
