The new K-drama Head Over Heels has grabbed attention with its mix of romance, supernatural thrills, and high school drama. The first two episodes, released on June 23 and 24, 2025, introduce a unique love story where fate and danger collide.
Cho Yi-hyun plays Park Seong-a, a high school student who secretly works as a shaman at night. Known as the “Earth and Heaven Fairy,” she helps people with spiritual problems while struggling to keep up with school. Her life changes when Bae Gyeon-u (Choo Young-woo), a handsome but unlucky transfer student, walks into her shrine.
Seong-a sees a terrifying visionโGyeon-u is upside down, a sign that he has only 21 days to live. Despite the danger, she falls for him instantly and vows to save him. Her mother warns that helping someone marked for death could risk her own life, but Seong-a refuses to back down.
At school, Gyeon-u is cold and dismissive, unaware of the supernatural threats around him. Ghosts target him, starting with a water spirit in the boys’ bathroom. Seong-a rushes to protect him, but he angrily rejects her help, calling her a fraud. His past is shrouded in mystery, including rumors of arson and a failed archery career.
Gyeon-uโs grandmother, Ok-soon, believes in Seong-aโs powers and begs her to save him. In a heartbreaking twist, Seong-a realizes she has been speaking to Ok-soonโs spiritโthe grandmother has already died. Gyeon-u is shattered by the loss, and at the funeral, he lashes out at Seong-a when she arrives in her shaman disguise.
