The latest episode of the hit supernatural anime takes a dark turn into the past as Nube faces a spirit who is more tragic than terrifying. Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11 delivered one of the most emotionally heavy installments of the season, focusing on the school mystery known as Miss Mary. The episode aired recently and shows Nube confronting a ghost born from bullying, forcing him to look at his own painful childhood.
The episode opens with a short but chilling scene of a monk trying to exorcise a student. The monk chants “Exorcise and Purify” repeatedly as he works on the possessed pupil. Viewers do not learn the full story behind this moment until much later in the episode. The scene then cuts to Miss Mary pulling her doll through a hallway covered in blood. She whispers to herself that everything is fixed now, setting an uneasy tone right from the start.
Miss Mary’s Curse Takes Hold of Noriko
The main story begins on a much lighter note. The students of Class 5-3 are harvesting vegetables at school. Makoto pulls a carrot from the ground and falls backward onto the ground. Nube jokes about saving money on groceries while Kyoko and Katsuya tell Makoto he should share what he finds. The atmosphere feels warm and fun.
Noriko then tells everyone she needs to leave early to practice piano for her upcoming recital. Miki immediately tries to invite herself along, saying she could dance and sing while Noriko plays. Everyone agrees this is a bad idea, and Noriko politely turns her down. Miki gets annoyed, but the moment shows the normal daily life of the class before things turn scary later in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11.
As dusk falls, Noriko walks to the shoe lockers to leave. She feels something touch her shoulder but turns around to see nothing. A clock begins to ring loudly. Suddenly every shoe in the locker area flies toward Noriko. Miss Mary appears on top of the shoe rack. A shoe hits Noriko in the head and she passes out.
When Noriko wakes up, she finds herself holding a doll with its limbs torn off. Miss Mary appears again and tells Noriko the doll’s arms and legs are missing. She gives Noriko one week to find all the pieces hidden somewhere in the school. If Noriko fails, Miss Mary will rip off Noriko’s own limbs to complete the doll. Noriko has a nightmare where her arms and legs separate from her body. She wakes up screaming, and Nube rushes to find out what happened.
The Legend of Miss Mary Explained
Back at school, Miki tells the whole class about the legend. Miss Mary is one of the Seven School Mysteries. If she gives you her cursed doll, you have seven days to find all the missing doll parts hidden across the school. If you do not succeed, she takes those same body parts from you.
The entire class bands together to help Noriko. They promise to search every corner of the school to find the missing limbs. Katsuya checks the hallways but finds nothing. Other students look in storage closets and empty classrooms.
While the kids search, Nube looks through old files in the faculty room. He finds a confidential dossier that explains everything about Miss Mary in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11.
The documents reveal that Miss Mary was a real girl with telekinetic powers back in 1959. She could bend spoons and levitate objects with her mind. Her classmates were afraid of her abilities. They wrote cruel words like “MONSTER” and “LEAVE” on her desk. The worst day came when they ripped apart her favorite doll and hid the pieces around the school. The girl could not take the pain anymore and took her own life.
After her death, she turned into a powerful psychic ghost. She moves from school to school, randomly attacking children. Many exorcists have tried to purify her over the years, but all of them failed. Those who tried faced her revenge. Nube realizes this will not be an easy spirit to defeat.
Nube Faces His Own Past
While everyone searches, Noriko ends up alone in the hallway. The doll suddenly transforms into a scary creature and screams at her to find the missing pieces. Noriko panics and throws it out the window. Miss Mary’s voice echoes, saying Noriko threw her away.
A metal gate drops from the ceiling, trapping Noriko. The doll keeps screaming. Noriko spots an escape chute and tries to use it, but Miss Mary appears from below and nearly grabs her. Nube arrives just in time and attempts to use Spirit Bind on her. The paper charm shreds in midair. Miss Mary is a psychic ghost, not an ordinary spirit, so Nube’s usual methods do not work against her in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11.
Nube realizes he cannot force her to leave. He tells Noriko the only way to stop Miss Mary is to convince her to move on peacefully. When Nube reaches out to the ghost, she uses telekinesis to smash him into the ceiling. She tells Noriko she now has only six days left and disappears.
The impact triggers a flashback for Nube. Viewers see young Nube getting bullied by other children because of his psychic powers. Other kids call him a monster and tell him to go away. Young Nube cries and asks why this is happening to him. He never asked to become a psychic. When Nube comes back to the present, he looks shaken. He understands now that Miss Mary went through the same pain he experienced as a child.
The Final Pieces and Nube’s Choice
The class keeps searching and manages to find three of the four missing doll parts. Masaru falls from his chair and accidentally finds the right arm. Hiroshi pulls the left arm from a pond. Makoto discovers the right leg in the chicken coop. But no one can locate the left leg anywhere in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11.
A full week passes.
As night falls on the seventh day, Nube stays with Noriko, knowing Miss Mary will return. The lights in the hallway go out one by one. The floor begins to shake. A locker flies from behind and knocks Nube down. Miss Mary descends from the ceiling upside down and asks if they found the left leg.
Noriko runs. Miss Mary chases her through the halls, throwing chairs and desks to block her path. She corners Noriko and demands the missing leg. Nube steps in again, but Miss Mary overpowers him and drags him to the rooftop.
Nube calls upon his Demon Hand when Miss Mary pins him behind a metal fence. He chants and unleashes the full power of his spell. Miss Mary tries to stop him with her telekinetic powers, but Nube breaks through. He raises his hand to strike her down.
Then he stops.
Tears roll down Nube’s face. He cannot bring himself to destroy her. She is just like him. Instead of attacking, Nube tells Miss Mary to kill him if it will make her feel better. He begs her to leave Noriko alone. He says if Miss Mary had been one of his students, he would have protected her too.
“I would have defended Miss Mary as well if she had been one of my students.”
The Demon Hand lets Miss Mary feel Nube’s true emotions for the first time in Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 episode 11. She breaks down crying. Someone finally understands her pain. Nube cries with her and hugs her tightly, asking her to pass on peacefully.
Miss Mary’s form turns blue and fades away. Downstairs, the doll disappears too. Noriko finds Nube on the roof and asks if Miss Mary is really gone. Nube says he does not know for sure. But he thinks about how different his life might have been if he had not met Miss Minako, the teacher who saved him all those years ago.
