The Korean drama Hunter with a Scalpel is keeping viewers on edge with its gripping storyline. Episodes 5 to 8 will air from June 23 to 26, with one episode releasing each day. Fans can watch the new episodes at midnight KST on U+mobiletv and Disney+ Korea. International viewers can stream them at 4 pm GMT and 10 am ET.

The show follows Seo Se-hyeon, a forensic doctor played by Park Ju-hyun. During an autopsy, she finds clues linking a murder to her missing father, Yoon Jo-kyun, played by Park Yong-woo. The discovery pulls her into a dark investigation involving a serial killer.

Detective Jung Jung-hyun, played by Kang Hoon, helps her uncover the truth. The drama blends crime, mystery, and personal drama as Se-hyeon faces her familyโ€™s dark past. Each episode runs about 30 minutes, and the series will have 16 episodes in total.

Hunter with a Scalpel is based on Choi Yi-Doโ€™s novel Mesureul Deun Sanyangkkun. Park Ju-hyun, known for Mouse, takes on another intense role. She shared her thoughts on playing Se-hyeon during the showโ€™s production presentation.

“I don’t think I’m born sensitive, so I appeared on the show because I thought ‘I’ll become more sensitive, sharp, and razor-sharp.’ I wanted Se-hyun to look like she lost weight through exercise. I benefited a lot from ‘Iron Girls.’”

Kang Hoon, who plays the detective, also prepared hard for his role. He said:

“Since it’s a police officer role, I have some friends who are police officers around me, so I asked them. When I read the script, there were a lot of scenes where I had to run, so I worked hard to manage my physical strength.”

The first four episodes set up the mystery, and the next four will dive deeper into the killings. Fans can expect more suspense as Se-hyeon gets closer to the truth about her father. The showโ€™s mix of forensic science and crime thriller elements has made it a must-watch.

International availability may vary due to region-based locks on Disney+. Some countries may get the episodes later. The drama airs weekly, with four episodes released each week. The final episodes are expected in early July.

The series has been praised for its strong performances and tight storytelling. Park Ju-hyunโ€™s portrayal of a troubled but determined doctor stands out. Park Yong-wooโ€™s chilling role as the suspected killer adds to the tension.

Viewers can expect more twists as Se-hyeon and Jung-hyun work together. The show explores themes of family secrets, justice, and survival. The next episodes will reveal more about the murders and Se-hyeonโ€™s connection to them.

For those catching up, the first four episodes are available on Disney+ and U+mobiletv. The drama is gaining popularity for its fast-paced plot and strong acting. Fans are eager to see how the story unfolds in episodes 5-8.

The release schedule for the upcoming episodes is as follows:

  • Episode 5: June 23
  • Episode 6: June 24
  • Episode 7: June 25
  • Episode 8: June 26

Each episode will be available at the same time daily. The showโ€™s dark tone and suspenseful storytelling make it a standout in 2025โ€™s K-drama lineup.
