Popular singer, actor, and former member of NU’EST and WANNA ONE, Hwang Minhyun, is set to begin his mandatory military service next month. Pledis Entertainment, his agency, officially confirmed the news on February 28th, revealing that Hwang Minhyun will enlist on March 21st, 2024.

While there won’t be any official event held on the day of his enlistment, the agency has kindly requested fans and media to refrain from attending the entrance ceremony or visiting the site of his service location. This request comes out of respect for fellow recruits and their families.

In a message to fans, Pledis Entertainment stated,

The agency went on to express their appreciation for continued love and support, and wished Hwang Minhyun a safe and healthy return. They assured fans that they will continue to provide him with all the necessary support during this time.

Despite his upcoming service, fans can still look forward to seeing more of Hwang Minhyun before his departure. He is set to hold a three-day fan meeting titled “The Peach Garden” from March 8th to 10th. During the event, he will unveil his brand new single, “Lullaby,” which will be officially released on March 13th.

Fans can also anticipate seeing Hwang Minhyun in the upcoming K-Drama series, “Study Group,” scheduled for release sometime this year.
