BLACKPINK members Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo have lined up new solo releases following the group’s 10th debut anniversary on August 8, 2026. The move comes after a controversial anniversary celebration that left many BLINKs disappointed.
The trio is rolling out new music in a relay-style schedule from late August through October, each showcasing their own musical identity.
Jennie Kicks Off Solo Run With ‘Fallen Angel’ EP
Jennie was the first to release new music. She dropped her digital EP Fallen Angel on August 28, 2026. This is her first solo project in about a year and five months since her debut full-length album Ruby.
The digital EP contains three tracks:
- “FALLEN ANGEL” (title track)
- “HEAVEN”
- “Less Than a Lover”
“Less Than a Lover” came out earlier on July 24 as a pre-release single. Jennie helped write and compose the alternative pop track. The song reached number one on iTunes’ Top Songs charts in 27 regions after its release.
A physical version of Fallen Angel will arrive on October 30. It will include three extra songs not on the digital version: “sweettooth,” “lockitdown,” and “Face”. Pre-orders for the physical EP opened on August 26.
Jennie had a busy summer performing at major festivals. She became the first K-pop solo artist to headline multiple large-scale festivals with a full band. Her festival run included ComplexCon Hong Kong, The Governors Ball, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Open’er Festival in Poland, Mad Cool Festival in Spain, Lollapalooza Chicago, and Summer Sonic in Japan.
Lisa Announces ‘SaWaDiKa’ Single and ‘Press Play’ Album
Lisa is preparing her next solo album titled Press Play, set for release on October 23. The album will feature six tracks.
Before the album drops, Lisa will release a lead single called “SaWaDiKa” on September 3. The title comes from the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka”. The album is expected to include elements of Lisa’s Thai background along with her experiences as a global performer.
Press Play comes about a year and eight months after Lisa’s first full-length album Alter Ego, which came out in February 2025. That album earned over 23.4 million first-day streams on Spotify and debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200.
Lisa also has a documentary called “Always Lalisa” set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival starting September 10. She is also scheduled to perform residency shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas across multiple dates in September and November.
Jisoo Returns With New Single ‘CLICK’
Jisoo will release her new single “CLICK” on September 4. The song marks her first solo release since her 2025 EP Amortage. It also serves as a pre-release single for her first full-length solo album.
Jisoo’s previous EP Amortage reached number one on iTunes’ Top Albums charts in 45 regions. Its lead single “Earthquake” topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. She also released “Eyes Closed” with Zayn in October 2025, which debuted at number 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Teaser images for “CLICK” feature a pink heart symbol, a mysterious amusement park, and quirky doll characters. The visuals blend sweetness with an eerie charm.

10th Anniversary Celebration Left Fans Disappointed
BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary event on August 8 at Seoul’s National Museum of Korea drew heavy criticism from fans. The meet-and-greet was announced only two days before the event. Only 40 fans were invited.
Fans complained about poor organization, cheap gifts, and a rice cake set that reportedly cost around $5.20 (6,900 won). Many BLINKs felt the celebration did not match the importance of a decade-long milestone.
The controversy highlighted a deeper issue. After leaving YG Entertainment in December 2023, each member now works with their own management agency:
- Jennie – Odd Atelier
- Lisa – Lloud
- Jisoo – Blissoo
- Rosé – The Black Label
YG Entertainment still handles group activities. But planning group events now requires coordination between four separate companies with different priorities. This has made it harder to organize group activities.
Some fans have voiced concerns that BLACKPINK “no longer feels like the same group” because members are focusing more on their solo careers. One BLINK named Malwang, a South Korean YouTuber, shared that he has attended three BLACKPINK concerts and considers himself a loyal fan, but he has noticed changes in the group’s dynamic.
Rosé is the only member who has not announced new solo music for 2026. Her 2024 single “APT.” with Bruno Mars peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned three Grammy nominations.
Despite the anniversary disappointment, the wave of solo releases from Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo is giving fans plenty of new music to look forward to in the coming weeks.
