Jeon Jong Seo, the acclaimed South Korean actress, has once more addressed the ongoing school bullying allegations against her, labeling them as “completely untrue.” This denial came during the press conference for her upcoming historical K-drama, The Queen Woo, held on August 27, 2024, at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall.

At the event, which also featured director Jung Se Kyo, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Yoo Mi, and Lee Soo Hyuk, with writer Lee Byung Hak, Jeon Jong Seo made a clear statement regarding the accusations. She reiterated that the claims of her being involved in school bullying are entirely unfounded.

“As I commented through my agency before, all the school bullying accusations are completely untrue,” Jeon Jong Seo said. “If they were true, I would not have been able to present myself before the public or continue with my work.”

She expressed regret about the situation and emphasized her desire to move past the controversy and focus on her new role. Jeon Jong Seo added:

“I regret being involved in such matters and hope to focus on offering the best performance through my new project for anybody who would’ve been hurt by this. My agency and I are working to resolve this issue properly and as soon as possible.”

The press conference, which was intended to promote The Queen Woo, saw Jeon Jong Seo urging attendees to concentrate on the upcoming drama rather than the allegations.

For context, Jeon Jong Seo first faced these accusations in April 2024 when an anonymous netizen claimed that they had attended the same middle school as the actress and accused her of bullying. ANDMARQ, Jeon Jong Seo’s agency, promptly responded by denying the allegations and announcing plans for legal action to safeguard the actress’s reputation.
