The actress known for playing unforgettable supporting roles is now taking charge as a crime family leader. Judy Greer just finished filming The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2, where she plays Quinn Campano. This project marks a major moment for her. She has officially completed three decades working in movies and television.

As she looked back at her long career, Greer shared a simple but powerful piece of advice for her younger self. She also talked about how her new part is very different from the “sad mom” roles she usually gets.

I think I would tell her not to worry so much. I was pretty worried all the time, I mean I still am. But yeah, I didn’t really know that I could have some fun while I was also working. I love acting, I love my job, so it helps if you love it.

Release Info: The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 started on February 20, 2026, and wrapped up on April 10, 2026. The whole season is now available to watch on Apple TV+ for viewers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and India.

The Advice Greer Would Give Her 23 Year Old Self

Greer sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss her career journey. She admitted that she spent a lot of time worrying early on. Now at 50, she wishes she had relaxed more on set.

She explained that work does not always have to feel so heavy. Even when the scenes are serious, she believes actors can still enjoy the process of creating. This change in thinking has helped her enjoy acting more in the last few years.

Greer started her career in the late 1990s. Her first big movie was Jawbreaker in 1999. Since then, she has been in many famous films.

From 13 Going on 30 to Marvel Movies

Greer is very good at playing best friends and funny characters. Many people remember her as Lucy Wyman, the mean girl in 13 Going on 30 who steals the “dollhouse” boyfriend. She also played Dr. Pam in What Women Want and Casey in 27 Dresses.

But she did not stay only in romantic comedies. Greer moved into drama with movies like The Descendants, for which her cast earned a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She also joined big action franchises. She played Maggie in the Planet of the Apes movies and appeared in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp as Maggie Lang.

On television, fans know her voice as Cheryl Tunt on the long-running animated series Archer. She has also made people laugh on shows like Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory.

Why Quinn in The Last Thing He Told Me is a Game Changer

In Season 2 of the Apple TV+ thriller, Greer plays Quinn Campano. At first, Quinn seems like a helpful family member. But by the end of the season, viewers learn she is the true power behind a criminal operation.

Spoiler warning for Season 2 finale:
The finale, titled Souvenir d’enfants, ends with a big fight. A shooter attacks a hotel lobby. Frank Campano (John Noble) dies while trying to protect his son. After this, Quinn stops pretending. She takes control of the family business.

Greer told Deadline that she loved playing someone who does not fall apart. Most of her career, she has played the “sad mom” or the worried wife. Quinn is different.

It’s really refreshing for me — I play a lot of sad moms — to play someone who is faced with a tragedy, a trauma, and doesn’t crumble. She uses it to build her resolve. That is something that Judy, me, would never do. I would be a mess, but it’s really cool to embody someone who has the ability to click it in.

The big twist: Quinn admits she was responsible for the death of Kate, Bailey’s mother. She did not mean to kill her. She only wanted to scare Kate. But when young Bailey ran into the street, the car swerved and hit Kate.

Greer said her character is a “master compartmentalizer.” Quinn buried her guilt for 20 years. When she finally tells Bailey the truth, it changes Quinn into the cold leader fans see at the end.

Reuniting with Jennifer Garner

This show brought Greer back together with Jennifer Garner. The two first worked together on 13 Going on 30 in 2004. In The Last Thing He Told Me, Garner plays Hannah, the main character.

Garner is also an executive producer on the show. She personally asked Greer to join the cast for Season 2. Garner wanted a strong actress to play Quinn. She knew Greer would be perfect for a role that is “dark, secretive, and layered.”

Greer was excited to work with her old friend again. The two even brought back the same costume designer and makeup artist from 13 Going on 30. Greer said it made the reunion special.

What is Next for Judy Greer

Even though she just finished this thriller, Greer is not slowing down. She has several new projects ready for release.

Chili Finger:
This movie premiered at the SXSW festival on March 14, 2026. Greer stars as Jessica Lipki, a woman who finds a severed finger in her fast food chili. Instead of calling the police, she tries to blackmail the company for $100,000. John Goodman also stars in this dark comedy-thriller.

The Five-Star Weekend:
Greer will star again with Jennifer Garner in this series coming to Peacock in summer 2026.

Action Movie Dreams:
Greer recently told Yahoo Entertainment that she really wants to do an action movie. She has done physical roles before in Planet of the Apes and Dead of Winter. But she wants a movie where she saves the day.

I’ve never done a super action movie. Dead of Winter is the closest I’ve come to an action movie… I really liked being the villain. It would be really cool to be in a Jason Bourne movie, but I also think it would be really fun to play a role where I save the day.

She says the roles she gets now are more “layered and interesting.” At 50, Greer feels free. She no longer worries about “looking pretty” in movies. This freedom has opened doors for her to play complex characters like Quinn.

Stick Season 2:
Greer has also finished filming for the second season of the Apple TV show Stick. That release date has not been announced yet.

All episodes of The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 are streaming now on Apple TV+.
