The Culling Game’s most intense mental battle reached its conclusion as Megumi Fushiguro outsmarted the ancient sorcerer Reggie Star in a fight built on weight, deception, and endurance rather than raw power. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 11, which aired on March 19, 2026, delivered a tactical showdown that fans are calling one of the most cleverly written fights in the series. The episode adapted Chapters 171, 172, and 173 of the manga, giving full attention to the final moments inside Megumi’s incomplete Domain Expansion, Chimera Shadow Garden.

The episode didn’t just wrap up the Tokyo No. 1 Colony battle. It also introduced the chaotic Sendai Colony, where Yuta Okkotsu made his long-awaited entrance, instantly shifting the power balance of the Culling Game.

Chimera Shadow Garden Becomes a Chessboard for Survival

The episode opened with Megumi on the offensive. Inside his domain, the entire gymnasium floor turned into shadow, giving him full control of the terrain. He used shadow clones and shikigami to overwhelm Reggie, and for a moment, victory seemed certain. But Reggie, a reincarnated sorcerer with centuries of experience, quickly figured out the flaw in Megumi’s technique.

Anything stored in Megumi’s shadow carries real physical weight, and Megumi bears that weight. Reggie exploited this by using his Contract Re-Creation technique to summon three cars and drop them into the shadow. The combined weight—roughly 2.4 tons—crushed Megumi’s mobility and shifted control back to Reggie.

Rather than panic, Megumi responded with an unexpected move. He summoned Max Elephant directly above Reggie. A fully matured elephant weighs several tons, and inside the domain, the weight was real. Suddenly, both fighters were fighting against the same crushing pressure: Megumi carrying cars from below, Reggie carrying an elephant from above. The fight stopped being about cursed techniques. It became a pure test of endurance.

The Gymnasium Pool Becomes a Trap

Reggie broke first. The elephant fractured his bones, and he fell into the shadow. He escaped using one of the cars he had summoned earlier, pulling himself back to the surface. Reggie then used his most powerful move: a two-storey wooden house, materialized from a receipt, dropped directly onto Megumi.

But Megumi had already planned ahead. He escaped into his own shadow and canceled Chimera Shadow Garden. Without the domain sustaining them, the objects lost their anchor. The house crashed through the gymnasium floor and into the swimming pool below, taking both fighters with it.

The pool scene was visually striking. The blue water, the flag decorations above, and the exposed steel beams created a calm space where two exhausted sorcerers fought with nothing but their fists. Reggie’s receipts were soaked, making his technique harder to use. Both fighters crawled out of the water, battered and barely standing.

That was when Megumi’s final move came. He had hidden Divine Dog: Totality for the entire fight. While Reggie focused on the domain, the elephant, and the hand-to-hand exchange, the shikigami was waiting behind him. One strike ended the fight.

Reggie did not die angry. He died embarrassed. An ancient reincarnated sorcerer, outsmarted by a modern-day teenager who lured him into a gymnasium, trapped him in a domain, drowned him in a pool, and then finished him with a dog he had hidden since the fight began.

Before dying, Reggie transferred all 41 of his points to Megumi. The gesture showed respect for the young sorcerer who had beaten him not with overwhelming strength, but with superior planning.

Fumihiko Takaba’s Comedy Technique Takes Center Stage

While Megumi fought Reggie, the episode briefly checked in on the other battle in the colony. Fumihiko Takaba, the aspiring comedian who debuted in the previous episode, continued his fight against Iori Hazenoki. The episode named his cursed technique: Comedian.

The technique works simply: anything Takaba genuinely believes is funny becomes reality. He can heal without reverse cursed technique, nullify incoming damage, and warp situations around him—all because he thinks the result would be hilarious. The catch is that he has no conscious control over it. His confidence in his own comedy is the engine, and if someone broke that confidence, the technique would stop working.

Hazenoki, frustrated and unable to damage Takaba, learned through his Kogane that Reggie was dead. He retreated immediately. Takaba was left standing without gaining a single point, but the episode made clear that Comedian is one of the most dangerous abilities in the Culling Game.

Angel Arrives as Megumi’s Fight Ends

After Reggie’s death, Remi tried to flee. Megumi’s Divine Dog cornered her, but Megumi let her go. He had no interest in killing someone who posed no threat. As he collapsed from exhaustion, a figure appeared above him: Hana Kurusu, also known as Angel.

Angel is the one the team had been searching for. Her arrival was mysterious and quiet, but the episode made clear her importance. Tengen had mentioned her earlier in the season, and her presence in the colony would change things.

Yuta Okkotsu Enters Sendai Colony and Changes Everything

The episode’s final moments shifted to the Sendai Colony, where a completely different scale of conflict was unfolding. The colony had four major players locked in a deadlock:

  • Dhruv Lakdawalla, a reincarnated sorcerer with shikigami that formed a domain-like territory
  • Ryu Ishigori, who had the highest cursed energy output among all players
  • Takako Uro, who could manipulate the sky
  • Kurourushi, a special-grade cursed spirit

None of them worked together. Their abilities clashed, creating a balance that none could break. That balance ended the moment Yuta Okkotsu entered. He took out Dhruv instantly, shattering the deadlock and proving why he was still a special-grade sorcerer.

The episode ended with Yuta standing in the colony, ready to take on whatever came next. The shift from Megumi’s tactical victory to Yuta’s overwhelming entrance set the stage for the episodes ahead.

Fan Reactions and Critical Response

Fans have praised Episode 11 for its focus on strategy over spectacle. The fight between Megumi and Reggie has been called one of the most intelligent battles in the series. Viewers noted that Megumi’s growth as a sorcerer was on full display, with some even comparing his calculated approach to that of his father, Toji Fushiguro.

The episode currently holds a 9.2 rating on IMDb, continuing the strong reception for this season. Many viewers highlighted the pool scene as a standout moment, praising MAPPA’s animation and direction for making a tactical fight feel visually exciting without relying on flashy explosions.

The introduction of Yuta at the end also drew strong reactions. Manga readers knew what was coming, and the episode’s final shot of him in the Sendai Colony built anticipation for the next phase of the Culling Game.
