The Kannada superstar Yash, who rose to fame with his blockbuster film KGF, has clarified that he is not part of Prasanth Varma’s upcoming film Jai Hanuman. The director had recently announced the sequel to his superhero film HanuMan, which starred Teja Sajja in the lead role. Prasanth Varma had also revealed that he wanted to cast Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram and Chiranjeevi as Hanuman in his ambitious project.
Rumours about Yash’s role
However, soon after the announcement, rumours started circulating that Yash had been approached to play Hanuman in Jai Hanuman. Some reports claimed that the director had met Yash and narrated the script to him. Some fans even created fan-made posters of Yash as Hanuman and shared them on social media.
Yash’s clarification
But Yash has put an end to all the speculations by issuing a statement through his spokesperson. He said that he has not been offered any role in Jai Hanuman and he is not interested in doing any mythological films at the moment. He also requested his fans to not believe in any rumours and wait for his official announcements. He said that he is currently busy with the post-production work of KGF: Chapter 2, which is slated to release on April 14, 2024. He also said that he has not signed any other film apart from KGF: Chapter 2 and he will reveal his next project soon.
Prasanth Varma’s vision
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma has started the pre-production work of Jai Hanuman at Ayodhya, where the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place on January 22, 2024. He shared a picture of himself holding the bound script of Jai Hanuman and said that he is excited to start a new journey. He also shared a first-look poster of the film, which showed a silhouette of Hanuman holding a mountain. He said that the film will be a tribute to the legendary hero and will showcase his life and adventures. He also said that the film will be a pan-Indian project and will be made in multiple languages. He said that he is looking for the best actors to play the roles of Ram and Hanuman and he will announce the cast and crew soon.
Jai Hanuman is expected to be a grand spectacle with high-octane action and stunning visual effects. The film will be the second instalment in Prasanth Varma’s cinematic universe, which he started with HanuMan. HanuMan was a huge success at the box office and received positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The film featured Teja Sajja as a superhero with mythological superpowers, who fights against a terrorist group led by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
