The director, known for the 2023 film Kabzaa, unveiled a bold lineup of 5 films, including the sequel to Kabzaa, titled Kabzaa 2.

In a surprising revelation, R Chandru openly admitted to paying a substantial sum of 20 crores in tax for the first installment of Kabzaa while announcing the sequel. Chandru expressed his determination to aim for the moon, emphasizing the desire to do something different.

Returning Stars and Sequel Expectations in Kabzaa 2

Kabzaa 2 is set to feature Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar, and Sudeep reprising their roles from the first film. The director, undeterred by the mixed reception of Kabzaa, stated that it wasn’t a failure but merely a minor setback. Chandru compared the film’s journey to India’s Chandrayaan mission, highlighting the anticipation for the sequel.

Chandru’s Cinematic Ambitions

Director R Chandru is banking on the success of his announced projects, confident that each film will carve its niche in the Pan-Indian market. With words like “I want to do something different” and “aim directly at the moon,” Chandru is set on a bold cinematic journey, unwavering in his pursuit of uniqueness.

Reflection on Kabzaa’s Past and Future

Released in 2023, Kabzaa faced criticism despite high expectations due to its impressive production values and similarities to KGF. The film, ending on a cliffhanger, left room for a sequel, now officially confirmed by the director. Chandru remarked that among the movies discussed in Mumbai, only KGF, Kabzaa, and Kantara hold the spotlight, acknowledging the harsh reality.

As the curtain rises on RC Studios and their promising lineup, R Chandru‘s bold declaration of paying a substantial tax amount for Kabzaa adds a layer of transparency to the filmmaking process. With Kabzaa 2 and other projects on the horizon, the director aims for success, standing firm against any past setbacks.
