Korean actor Kim Young Dae may be adding another major drama to his impressive lineup of projects this year. Reports indicate that he has been offered a lead role in the upcoming series “Let’s Go to the Moon,” which would pair him with actress Lee Sun Bin.

Kim Young Dae’s Possible Role in ‘Let’s Go to the Moon’

As per an exclusive report by a Korean media outlet, Kim Young Dae is considering the role of Ham Ji Woo, also known as Dr. Ham. Dr. Ham is portrayed as the skilled director of a big data team and a second-generation chaebol, known for his warm and charismatic appearance as well as his work acumen. If he accepts, Kim Young Dae will portray a character who, despite his wealthy background, harbors deeper aspirations and dreams that he rediscovers upon meeting Jung Dae Hae, the character Lee Sun Bin has reportedly been offered.

Outer Universe, Kim Young Dae’s agency, confirmed that they received the offer but withheld confirmation on his participation in the project. Directed by Oh Da Young, “Let’s Go to the Moon” is set to delve into the struggles faced by young people grappling with financial challenges, juxtaposing their hardships with the wealth and luxury of chaebol families.

The Production Team and Premise of ‘Let’s Go to the Moon’

“Let’s Go to the Moon” is produced by Bon Factory, known for hit dramas like “Work Later, Drink Now” and “No Gain No Love”. The series aims to reflect on issues of economic inequality, focusing on the challenges of rising household debt and the struggles faced by young adults in Korea’s competitive and often uncertain job market.

This year has been an intense period for Kim Young Dae, who recently starred in No Gain No Love alongside Shin Min Ah and the family drama Perfect Family. Additionally, he is set to appear in Dear X, a dark romance drama based on a popular webtoon, where he will act alongside Kim Yoo Jung.
