The hit Paramount+ series Landman is expanding its cast for Season 2 with two new actors. Guy Burnet and Miriam Silverman are joining the show in recurring guest roles. They will star alongside returning leads Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, and Sam Elliott.
The show, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, is set in the world of Texas oil rigs. It follows the lives of roughnecks, billionaires, and outsiders caught in the high-stakes energy industry. Season 1 ended with major cliffhangers, and fans are eager to see what happens next.
New Cast Members and Their Roles
Guy Burnet will play Charlie Newsom, a charming oil and gas engineer. Burnet is known for his roles in Oppenheimer, FUBAR, and Ray Donovan. He has also appeared in Broadway productions and will next be seen in Reykjavรญk with Jeff Daniels.
Miriam Silverman takes on the role of Greta Stidham, a tough university admissions counselor. Silverman is a Tony Award-winning actress for her performance in The Sign in Sidney Brusteinโs Window. She has also appeared in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Dead Ringers, and Your Friends and Neighbors.
“I loved working on Landman. Taylor Sheridan knows this world so well, and the scripts are fantastic,” said Billy Bob Thornton in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Returning Stars and Season 2 Plot
The main cast from Season 1 will return, including:
- Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, now leading M-Tex Oil after his bossโs death.
- Demi Moore as Cami Miller, who is expected to have a bigger role this season.
- Andy Garcia as Gallino, a cartel leader involved in the oil business.
- Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, and Michelle Randolph as Tommyโs family.
- Sam Elliott, who joins as a series regular in an undisclosed role.
Season 2 will continue the story after Monty Millerโs (Jon Hamm) death. Tommy must navigate dangerous deals, cartel threats, and family drama while running M-Tex Oil.
Production and Release Date
Filming for Landman Season 2 began in April 2025 in Texas. The show is expected to premiere in late 2025 or early 2026.
“Weโre excited to bring back Landman with even bigger stakes and new characters,” said Chris McCarthy, co-CEO of Paramount.
The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. It is one of Paramount+โs most-watched shows, ranking high in Nielsenโs streaming charts.
