LE SSERAFIM has made a significant achievement by entering the UK’s Official Singles Chart for the first time with their latest track, CRAZY. This marks a new personal record for the group.
CRAZY Makes UK Chart History
On September 6, 2024, the Official Singles Chart, which mirrors Billboard’s U.S. charts in the UK, revealed that LE SSERAFIM’s new title track CRAZY debuted at No. 83. This is the first time the group has had a song on the UK chart. CRAZY also saw strong performances on other UK charts, reaching No. 14 on the Official Singles Downloads Chart and No. 15 on the Official Singles Sales Chart for the week of September 5 to 11.
Global Success of CRAZY
LE SSERAFIM’s mini album CRAZY, released on August 30, 2024, has achieved notable success globally. The album and its title track quickly rose to the top of iTunes charts across multiple countries. By August 31 at 9 AM KST, CRAZY had reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 11 regions, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Indonesia. The mini album also broke into the top 10 in 23 regions such as the United States, Japan, and Canada.
The title track CRAZY reached the top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 10 regions, including Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Additionally, the music video for CRAZY topped YouTube’s global list of Top Trending Music Videos.
Upcoming MTV VMA Appearance
In addition to their chart success, LE SSERAFIM is set to perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). Announced on September 6 local time, LE SSERAFIM will take the stage at the VMA Pre-Show, which precedes the main awards ceremony. The VMA Pre-Show, scheduled for September 11 at 6:30 PM KST, will feature previous performers such as Sabrina Carpenter, Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna.
LE SSERAFIM is also nominated for Push Performance of the Year for their song EASY, marking their first VMA nomination. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s Lisa has been confirmed to perform at the main award ceremony.
