Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun are set to bring a fresh twist to romance in the upcoming short-form drama “A Love That’s Completely Useless”. This series, premiering in January 2025, will feature a unique storyline, exploring love and relationships in a humorous and unconventional way.

Plot: An Unexpected Romance Between Neighbors

Directed by Lee Jeong Seob, known for his work on Queen for Seven Days and Angel’s Last Mission: Love, the drama revolves around two neighbors with outdated ideas about relationships. Both characters believe that if two people spend the night together, they must get married—a belief that leads to humorous consequences when they end up spending a night together by accident.

  • Lee Dong Gun will play Lee Mu Gae, a bachelor who works as a literary critic and editor-in-chief at a publishing company. Known for his intelligence, loyalty to family, and his shy personality, Lee Mu Gae struggles with unrequited love due to his reserved nature.
  • Park Ha Sun will portray Do Do Hye, the head of the design department at the same publishing company. Confident and self-assured, Do Do Hye believes she is the ideal match for any man, yet she has a knack for pushing away anyone who gets close.

Their unexpected night together sparks a funny, romantic journey, highlighting their differences and exploring how opposites can attract in surprising ways.

Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun’s Notable Careers

Both Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun bring strong acting backgrounds to this drama. Lee Dong Gun has made a name for himself as a romantic lead with roles in popular dramas like Lovers in Paris, The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop, and Queen for Seven Days. Known for his deep gaze and grounded performances, he has become a recognized figure in the romance genre.

Park Ha Sun, with standout roles in Dong Yi, Two Weeks, and Love Affair in the Afternoon, has showcased her talent across various genres, from historical dramas to thrillers. Also active as a radio DJ and variety show host, she is expected to bring a unique blend of charm and humor to her role in A Love That’s Completely Useless.
