“ONE: High School Heroes“ is a new South Korean action drama that tackles bullying and domestic violence. The series stars Lee Jung Ha and Kim Do Wan as high school students fighting injustice. Fans of shows like “Weak Hero Class” and “Study Group” will find this drama exciting.
The story follows Kim Eui Gyeom (Lee Jung Ha), a top student who suffers abuse at home and school. His father, played by Kim Sang Ho, pressures him harshly. At school, bullies make his life miserable. Everything changes when he meets Kang Yun Gi (Kim Do Wan), who notices his hidden fighting skills.
Together, they form a masked duo called the “High School Heroes.” They take on bullies and try to change the violent school system. The drama is based on a popular webtoon called “ONE” by Lee Eun Jae. The webtoon won awards and has over 65 million views.
The show will premiere on May 30, 2025, on Wavve. New episodes will air every Friday until June 13. There are 8 episodes in total. The director is Lee Sung Tae, known for “By Quantum Physics: A Nightlife Venture.”
Lee Jung Ha said, “My shoulders go up because I heard that I came out after tearing up webtoons. Can you see it?” He added, “Uigyeom is a character who suffers from his fatherโs pressure. He discovers his fighting talent after transferring schools.”
Kim Do Wan shared, “I prepared a lot because itโs my first time playing a strategic and cool character. I wanted to show something new.”
The supporting cast includes Kim Joo Ryoung as Eui Gyeomโs mother and Yuk Jun Seo as a mysterious transfer student. Im Sung Kyun plays a powerful student who controls the schoolโs hierarchy.
The teaser shows intense fight scenes. Eui Gyeom wears headphones while fighting, showing his transformation. Kang Yun Gi leads the battles, saying, “We only have two left.” The poster features the two heroes standing in a broken building, hinting at their tough journey.
Fans are excited because the drama has a similar vibe to “Weak Hero Class.” Some viewers online said:

The action scenes were carefully planned. Yoo Hee Je, who plays a rival, said, “My fight scene in the later episodes feels like a movie climax.” Yuk Jun Seo trained in Taekwondo for three months for his role.
“ONE: High School Heroes” is expected to be a hit. It combines strong acting, intense action, and emotional storytelling. Fans of school dramas and action series should not miss it.
