The 3rd Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA) 2026 is shaping up to be a major event for Korean entertainment fans, and the organizers just dropped some exciting news about who will be taking the stage in May. On March 18, the ASEA organizing committee announced that singer-actor Lee Junho and actress Go Youn Jung will be part of the first presenter lineup for the awards ceremony.
The two popular stars are set to appear on the first day of the two-day event, which runs May 16 and 17 at the Belluna Dome in Saitama, Japan. This marks another high-profile appearance for both artists, who have been dominating screens and headlines with their recent projects.
Two of K-Content’s Biggest Names Take on Presenter Roles
Lee Junho, who first debuted as a member of 2PM back in 2008, has built a career that spans both music and acting. He made his film debut in 2013 with “Cold Eyes” and has since become one of the most reliable leading men in the industry. His roles in hit dramas like “The Red Sleeve” and “King the Land” brought him widespread recognition and a dedicated fanbase. More recently, he starred in “Typhoon Family” and has the upcoming Netflix series “Cashero” in the pipeline, proving he shows no signs of slowing down.
For Go Youn Jung, the past few years have been nothing short of remarkable. She started her acting career in 2019 with “He Is Psychometric” and quickly caught attention for her presence on screen. The Hosts and Performance Lineup So Far
Lee Junho and Go Youn Jung aren’t the only familiar faces fans can look forward to seeing. Earlier announcements confirmed that MONSTA X’s Hyungwon and IVE’s Rei will serve as the hosts for the first day of the ceremony on May 16. This marks the second consecutive year both Hyungwon and Rei will be hosting ASEA.

- ATEEZ – The South Korean boy band formed by KQ Entertainment will perform on the second day
- &TEAM – This Japanese boy band formed by YX Labels is scheduled to take the stage on the first day
- Hearts2Hearts – The South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment will perform on the second day
- ENHYPEN – The popular group has also been confirmed for the lineup
- xikers – Another addition to the growing list of performers
- NOWZ – The group, formerly known as NOWADAYS, will appear after a successful year that saw their first mini album ‘IGNITION’ nearly double its first-week sales and their title track ‘EVERGLOW’ get picked by Billboard in “the 25 best K-pop songs of 2025”
- IDID – This new boy group, formed through Starship’s “Debut’s Plan” project, debuted last September and won first place on music shows right after their debut
- THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE – This 16-member dance vocal group will be appearing at ASEA for the third consecutive year

For the first time, ASEA 2026 has introduced a global fan voting system. Voting is currently underway across several categories, giving fans a chance to support their favorite artists.

The first round of voting started on March 12 and is ongoing.
Looking Back at ASEA 2025
The previous ceremony in 2025, held at Yokohama’s K-Arena, drew around 37,000 fans from around the world across its two days. Major K-pop groups delivered performances, and the event honored leading artists including aespa, ENHYPEN, and (G)I-DLE, highlighting the dominance of fourth-generation K-pop acts.
