Lee Sung Kyung’s surprise cameo
Lee Sung Kyung, who is known for her roles in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Shooting Star, Doctor Romantic and more, has confirmed that she will make a special appearance in this series, the ongoing romance comedy that stars Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye. She will play the role of Park Hyung Sik’s ex-girlfriend from high school, who meets him again as an adult and expresses her interest in rekindling their romance. This creates tension and jealousy between her and Park Shin Hye, who is Park Hyung Sik’s current love interest and colleague.

What is Doctor Slump about?
Doctor Slump is a medical romantic comedy that tells the story of two successful surgeons who go through a slump due to some incidents and help each other heal. Park Hyung Sik plays Yeo Jung Woo, a top plastic surgeon who loses his confidence and reputation after a botched surgery. Park Shin Hye plays Nam Ha Neul, a cardiothoracic surgeon who faces a crisis at work after being accused of malpractice. The two were rivals in medical school, but they end up working together at the same hospital and develop feelings for each other. Despite their differences, they find solace and comfort in each other and slowly overcome their challenges.
The series is directed by Oh Hyun Jong, who has previously worked on projects like Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Find Me in Your Memory. The script is written by Baek Sun Woo, who is also known for My Roommate is a Gumiho, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, and Drinking Solo. The series also features Yoon Park and Kong Seong Ha in supporting roles.
