BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has achieved a new milestone in her solo career. Her latest single “SaWaDiKa” has spent its second week on the Billboard Hot 100, making it her third solo song to chart for multiple weeks on the prestigious U.S. music ranking. Billboard revealed on September 23 local time that “SaWaDiKa” held steady at No. 93 on the Hot 100 for the week, after making its debut at No. 69 the previous week.
The achievement places “SaWaDiKa” alongside two other Lisa solo tracks that managed to stay on the Hot 100 for more than one week: her 2021 hit “MONEY” and her 2025 collaboration “BORN AGAIN” with Doja Cat and RAYE. Lisa’s other solo entries on the Hot 100, including “LALISA” (No. 84, 2021), “Rockstar” (No. 70, 2024), “New Woman” featuring Rosalía (No. 97, 2024), and “Priceless” with Maroon 5 (No. 76, 2025), each spent only a single week on the chart, according to Billboard’s historical records.
Global Charts Show Strong Performance
“SaWaDiKa” also continued to perform well on Billboard’s global rankings during its second week. On the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, which measures streaming and sales activity from outside the United States, the song ranked at No. 35, after initially debuting at No. 13. On the Billboard Global 200, which includes U.S. data, the single sat at No. 54, down from its debut position of No. 23.
A Thai Greeting That Became a Global Hit
“SaWaDiKa” means “hello” in Lisa’s native Thai language. The song was released on September 3, 2026, as the first track from her upcoming six-song EP titled “PRESS PLAY”, which is scheduled to arrive on October 23, 2026. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that aired on September 16, Lisa explained the concept behind the project.
“This EP is about my journey from my roots to where I am right now today. There’s a lot of Thai elements in the songs as well, in the EP. And every single song has their own character, their own vibe and we combine it together. It’s like a movie. So you just press play.”
Music Video Breaks 2026 Record
The music video for “SaWaDiKa” became the fastest music video of 2026 to reach 100 million views on YouTube. The visual crossed the milestone in approximately two days and four hours after its release on September 4, 2026, officially hitting the mark on September 6. The video also notched more than 70 million views in just 24 hours, a figure Lisa herself described as “crazy” during her late-night interview.
Streaming and UK Chart Success
On Spotify’s Daily Global Chart, “SaWaDiKa” debuted at No. 13 with 2.787 million streams, marking the biggest debut for a K-pop soloist on the platform in 2026. In the United States, the song entered the Spotify US Daily Chart at No. 53 with approximately 466,000 streams. The track also debuted at No. 66 on the UK Official Singles Chart, becoming Lisa’s seventh solo entry on that ranking.
Mixed Reactions and a Design Dispute
The song’s release generated divided reactions among listeners. Some social media users criticized the lyrics for focusing heavily on Lisa’s wealth and self-referential themes, with several commenters describing the lyrics as corny and accusing her of repeatedly using the self-focused persona associated with her earlier solo work. Supporters, however, celebrated the track’s performance, particularly noting that it achieved its chart positions without radio airplay or YouTube views counting toward the Hot 100.
A separate controversy emerged when London-based Syrian artist Zeina accused the music video’s creative team of copying her coined headphone design without giving proper credit. The artist claimed that an accessory appearing in the video closely resembled a design she had created.

The full “PRESS PLAY” EP will contain six tracks, with “SaWaDiKa” serving as the opening song. Lisa has hinted that the fourth track will be the next single and begins with the letter “T”. Beyond music, Lisa is also the subject of a feature documentary titled “Always Lalisa”, directed by Sue Kim, which is set to open in global cinemas and IMAX on October 12 before heading to YouTube Premium later in the year. She is also confirmed for a four-show Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on November 13–14 and November 27–28, 2026.
