Marshals returns to CBS on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and the cast list has grown since Season 1. Returning Cast For Season 2
Most of the main team from Season 1 is back for the new season. Luke Grimes returns as Kayce Dutton, the former Navy SEAL and Dutton family member who now works with an elite U.S. Marshals unit in Montana. The role marks Grimes’ return to the character he played throughout Yellowstone.
Logan Marshall-Green is back as Pete “Cal” Calvin, the supervisory deputy who leads the unit. Cal faced serious health problems in Season 1 and was still dealing with those issues when the season ended.
Arielle Kebbel returns as Belle Skinner, a fellow deputy marshal and key member of the team. Ash Santos is back as Andrea Cruz, another deputy on the team. Tatanka Means returns as Miles Kittle, a deputy who became romantically involved with Cal’s daughter, Maddie, during Season 1.
Three actors from Yellowstone also return for Season 2. Brecken Merrill is back as Tate Dutton, Kayce’s son. Mo Brings Plenty returns as Mo, and Gil Birmingham is back as Thomas Rainwater. These three characters appeared in Season 1 of Marshals and remain part of the story.
New Cast Additions
Two actors are joining Marshals for Season 2. Marque Richardson has been cast in a recurring role as Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns. Richardson is known for his work on Dear White People and Unprisoned. His character is a federal prosecutor who brings legal pressure on the marshal unit, adding a new kind of conflict to the show.
Jefferson White is the other new addition. He reprises his Yellowstone role as Jimmy Hurdstrom in a recurring capacity for Season 2. CBS confirmed his casting on September 16, 2026. Jimmy is described as a good-hearted but rough-around-the-edges ranch hand who went from a troubled criminal to a proud cowboy.

White was expected to lead a 6666 spin-off set at the Texas ranch where Jimmy worked in Yellowstone, but that project was shut down by Taylor Sheridan. Jimmy now appears on Marshals instead.
Morgan Lindholm’s Expanded Role
Morgan Lindholm returns as Maddie, a bartender at the Bullet ‘N Barrel and Cal’s estranged daughter. Season 1 introduced Maddie as a bartender with a surprising connection to Cal. She also became romantically involved with Cal’s employee, Miles Kittle, played by Tatanka Means. The two were still together when Season 1 ended.
Season 2 will give Lindholm more screen time. Her role is expanding from what viewers saw in Season 1. Details about how her character’s story will grow have not been shared by the show’s producers.
Production And Release Details
Marshals Season 2 went into production in May 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The series was renewed for a second season in March 2026, before Season 1 finished its run. Season 1 concluded on CBS on May 24, 2026.
The new season premieres on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 8:30 PM ET on CBS in the United States. Starting October 11, the show moves to its regular Sunday time slot at 8 PM ET/PT. New episodes stream on Paramount+ the day after they air on CBS.
Viewers in Canada can watch on CBS and Paramount+. In the UK and Australia, Paramount+ is the expected streaming home for the new season, though the exact date for those regions has not been confirmed.
