On November 25, 2024, former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin filed a criminal complaint at the Yongsan Police Station against HYBE’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CCO) Park Tae Hee and Public Relations Room Leader Cho Sung Hoon. The allegations center around claims of breach of professional duty, which her legal representatives detailed in an official statement.
Official Statement from Min Hee Jin’s Legal Team
Min Hee Jin’s legal representatives from Markol Consulting Group and Sejong Law Firm issued the following statement regarding the complaint:
Hello.
This is Markol Consulting Group that is in charge of media communication along with Sejong Law Firm to represent former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
Former CEO Min filed a criminal complaint with the Yongsan Police Station on November 25, 2024, against the HYBE Chief Public Relations Officer (CCO), Park Tae Hee, and the HYBE Public Relations Room Leader Cho Sung Hoon, on the charges of breach of professional duty.
As part of HYBE’s Shared Services PR Room, they have been receiving PR fees from ADOR, but despite their duty to promote NewJeans, they were not only unable to fulfil their professional duty, but they have severely damaged ADOR and NewJeans by trivializing their success and more.
We hope that they will be dealt with for their crimes through criminal punishment.

Allegations of PR Misconduct
This complaint follows previous reports that HYBE’s PR Room allegedly under-reported NewJeans’ significant achievements in Japan. The legal team has accused HYBE executives of neglecting their duty to promote NewJeans effectively, claiming their actions have harmed the group’s image and undermined their success.
A Tense Situation Within HYBE
The situation highlights internal tensions within HYBE, a company managing some of the most prominent K-pop groups, including NewJeans under its ADOR label. Fans and industry insiders are closely watching how this legal dispute will unfold and impact the relationships within HYBE and its affiliated labels.
