The new Korean romantic comedy Nice to Not Meet You is now airing, bringing a mix of workplace satire and a slow-burning romance to screens. The show, which started on November 3, 2025, follows a weekly schedule with two new episodes every week. For international fans, the series is available to stream globally on Amazon Prime Video shortly after it airs in South Korea.
Release Schedule and Where to Watch
Nice to Not Meet You follows the standard tvN drama pattern. New episodes air twice weekly in South Korea on the cable channel tvN, every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM KST. The series is also available for international audiences on Amazon Prime Video. Episodes are added to the platform for streaming very soon after the Korean broadcast ends, making it easy for global viewers to watch with subtitles.
The show features a strong cast led by Lee Jung-jae as Lim Hyun-joon, an actor famous for playing a detective but tired of being typecast. He is joined by Lim Ji-yeon as Wi Jeong-sin, a serious political reporter who is forced to move to the entertainment news team. Their chaotic encounters form the core of the story.
The release schedule for the first four episodes is:
- Episode 1: Released on Monday, November 3, 2025
- Episode 2: Released on Tuesday, November 4, 2025
- Episode 3: Scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025
- Episode 4: Scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025
This pattern will continue with new episodes releasing every Monday and Tuesday. Each episode has a runtime of approximately 60 to 70 minutes.
What Happened in the Premiere Episodes?
The first two episodes set up the complicated relationship between the two main characters. Lim Hyun-joon is a successful actor trapped by the fame of his long-running detective role, “Good Detective Kang Pil Gu.” After seven years, he feels creatively empty and desperately wants to break into different genres like melodrama.
On the other hand, Wi Jeong-sin is an award-winning political journalist. After a investigation goes wrong, she is demoted to the entertainment desk, a job she looks down on. She does not know about popular stars or hit TV shows, making her new role a struggle.
Their first meetings are full of misunderstandings. A chance encounter at a hostess bar ends with Hyun-joon’s phone dropped in a toilet. Later, at a movie premiere, Hyun-joon mistakes Jeong-sin for an attacker and tries to stop her, resulting in him falling down some stairs and tearing his pants in front of a crowd of photographers. The embarrassing moment quickly becomes a viral meme.
In Episode 2, Jeong-sin is assigned to interview Hyun-joon. Still holding a grudge, she plans to use the interview to damage his reputation. However, the interview fails when Hyun-joon discovers she has never seen his famous detective series. After her boss encourages her to research properly, Jeong-sin binge-watches the entire show and finds herself unexpectedly fascinated by the character Hyun-joon plays. By the end of their second interview, her attitude has completely changed, leaving her mesmerized by the actor.
What to Expect in the Upcoming Episodes
The story is set to develop further in the next episodes. Previews for Episode 3 suggest that Hyun-joon will be admitted to a hospital after a suspected suicide attempt, adding tension to the plot. His ex-girlfriend, played by Oh Yeon-seo, is shown visiting him there.
Meanwhile, Wi Jeong-sin is also seen at the hospital, possibly going undercover to investigate the circumstances around Hyun-joon’s hospitalization. This situation seems to set the stage for another unexpected meeting between the two leads, pushing their unique relationship to a new level.
The production team shared that the drama is a perfect show for the year-end season, filled with funny scenes and a warm, kind spirit.
The cast has also expressed their excitement about the project. Kim Ji Hoon, who plays a former baseball star, described the series as very funny.
He said, “The drama has so many funny scenes that it even makes me wonder if we’ve had a comedy this funny. The early episodes, especially the tangled and hilarious moments between Lim Hyeon Jun and Wi Jeong Sin, will make it easy and enjoyable to watch.”
