A new teaser for the fantasy romance No Tail to Tell shows its two main characters in a heap of trouble. Starring Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, the video reveals what happens when a magical fox spirit and a top soccer player see their lives crash together. It promises a chaotic story of blame, forced teamwork, and a desperate plan to get their old lives back. The drama is set to begin airing on January 16, 2026.

From Magical Fox to Angry Human: Eun Ho’s Strange Punishment

The teaser starts with a loud complaint. Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon) cries out, “What did I do that was so wrong!”. Her problem is unique. Eun Ho is not a human but a gumiho, a magical nine-tailed fox. Unlike the usual tales where these creatures want to become human, Eun Ho has enjoyed her centuries-long life avoiding exactly that. She likes the fun parts of the human world but stays away from good deeds to keep from turning human.

Her perfect system falls apart. A mysterious voice scolds her, asking, “Did you really think meddling with human fate was such a trivial matter?”. Because she interfered, she gets what she fears most as a punishment: she becomes an ordinary human overnight. In a moment of shock, she points the finger at someone else, saying, “This is because of you! I’m now a human!”. This huge change sets off the main story of the show.

A Soccer Star’s Fall: Kang Si Yeol Hits Rock Bottom

At the same time, the other lead character faces his own disaster. Kang Si Yeol (Lomon) is not an ordinary person. He is described as a world-class soccer player, a confident striker for a top overseas club. He lives a life of strict discipline and great fame. But in the blink of an eye, his perfect world shatters.

The teaser shows his stunning fall “from the very top to rock bottom”. One moment he is a celebrated athlete, and the next, he is seen venting frustration from inside a holding cell. The show does not yet reveal exactly how this happens, but it is clear his downfall is sudden and complete. This disaster links directly to his encounter with Eun Ho.

Enemies Turned Allies in a Plan to Reverse Fate

With both characters blaming each other for their new, terrible situations, their relationship starts with pure hostility. However, they soon realize they have no choice but to work together. A caption in the teaser hints at this shift, calling it “A punishment was given to a reckless gumiho—along with love”.

Sensing impending doom, Eun Ho teams up with Kang Si Yeol to devise a plan to reverse their fate.

Their dynamic changes from enemies to allies. Eun Ho’s voiceover shows her growing determination: “I think I finally know what we need to do now”. The teaser also shows a glowing mystical fox bead, an object of supernatural energy that will likely be key to their mission. Eun Ho ends the preview with a warning to Si Yeol, “Brace yourself. Starting tomorrow, we’re going to be incredibly busy”. This sets the stage for their frantic attempt to undo the curse that changed their lives.
