The hit Netflix romantic comedy Nobody Wants This is bringing in a wave of fresh faces for its third season. The streaming service has revealed nine new cast members joining Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, including the show’s own creator Erin Foster stepping in front of the camera.

Production for Nobody Wants This Season 3 is currently happening in Los Angeles. The show received its renewal back in November 2025, just weeks after the second season premiered. Netflix plans to release the new episodes sometime in late 2026.

Creator Erin Foster Makes Her Acting Return

Erin Foster, who created the series and runs the show, will appear as a guest star playing Nicole. The character is described as a terminally single woman who lives a chaotic life. The show’s producers compare Nicole to what Joanne would be if everything in her life had gone wrong.

This marks Foster’s return to acting after several years. Her previous on-screen credits include roles on The O.C., Gilmore Girls, Castle, and her own comedy series Barely Famous. She also starred in the TV movie Daddy Issues back in 2018.

Major Recurring Roles Added for Season 3

Three well-known comedy actors have joined Nobody Wants This Season 3 in significant recurring parts.

Sarah Silverman will play Rabbi Eden, who teaches an Introduction to Judaism class. Her character is warm and quirky, offering support to both Joanne and Noah as they navigate their relationship. Silverman started her career on Saturday Night Live and later created and starred in The Sarah Silverman Program. She also earned an Emmy nomination for her work on that show.

Andrew Rannells takes on the role of Sebastien, who becomes Joanne’s rival in her conversion class. Rannells is widely recognized for originating the lead role in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, which earned him a Tony nomination and a Grammy Award. He has also appeared in Girls, Black Monday, and The New Normal.

Keyla Monterroso Mejia will play Amber, a single woman taking Joanne’s Intro to Judaism class who is completely focused on finding a Jewish husband. Mejia currently appears on Abbott Elementary as Ashley and has roles in The Studio and Acapulco.

Guest Stars Round Out the New Cast

Several other actors will appear as guest stars throughout Nobody Wants This Season 3.

Avan Jogia plays Travis, a confident guy who enjoys annoying Joanne. Jogia is best known for playing Beck Oliver on the Nickelodeon series Victorious. He recently starred in the Prime Video drama 56 Days.

Poorna Jagannathan joins as Eleanor, Sebastien’s sharp-tongued aunt. She played Nalini Vishwakumar in Never Have I Ever and currently appears in Deli Boys.

Sadie Sandler, daughter of actor Adam Sandler, will play Denise, a young psychic who gives a reading to Morgan. Sadie has appeared in several of her father’s projects including Happy Gilmore 2, Leo, and Hubie Halloween.

Stephanie Koenig plays Poppy, a sarcastic dating app user who tries her luck with Sasha. Koenig appears in English Teacher as Gwen Sanders and played Fran Frask in Lessons in Chemistry.

Steven Weber completes the guest cast as Julian, a divorced dad described as funny, grounded, and secure. Weber currently stars as Dr. Dean Archer on Chicago Med and has a long list of credits including Wings and 13 Reasons Why.

Returning Cast and Season 3 Story Details

The main cast returns for Nobody Wants This Season 3 with Kristen Bell as Joanne, Adam Brody as Noah, Justine Lupe as Morgan, Timothy Simons as Sasha, and Jackie Tohn as Esther.

Season 2 ended with Joanne deciding to convert to Judaism while Noah told her he loves her regardless of her choice. The upcoming season will show Joanne and Noah fully committed to merging their lives and families together. Their differences still remain and cannot be ignored. The challenge now focuses on staying together despite the odds against them.

The third season will follow Joanne as she takes an Intro to Judaism class, which explains why many of the new characters are connected to that setting. Her conversion class brings in Rabbi Eden as the teacher, Sebastien as her rival, and Amber as a fellow student with her own romantic goals.

Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan continue as showrunners and executive producers. Erin Foster, Kristen Bell, Sara Foster, Steven Levitan, and others also serve as executive producers. 20th Television produces the series.
