On July 30, Sports Kyunghyang released a report about YouTuber Tzuyang. The report included an interview with the former owner (B) of an adult establishment where Tzuyang previously worked. B refuted Tzuyang’s claims that she was forced to work there and revealed other details about her past relationship.

What Did the Former Owner Say?

According to B, Tzuyang’s claims that she was forced to work at the establishment were false. He emphasized the following points:

  • “It is systematically improbable that you can force someone to work at an adult establishment. The women working here are free to come and leave as they please.”
  • “Her claims that she was forced is a lie. At the very least, I have never seen her ex-boyfriend threaten or abuse her while they worked. It would have been obvious if she was forced.”

B also mentioned that Tzuyang and her ex-boyfriend met while working together at a Norebang (Karaoke), which often hires girls to host their customers.

Why Are These Statements Controversial?

The credibility of B‘s statements is questionable for several reasons:

  • B had a close relationship with Tzuyang’s ex-boyfriend, which could bias his account.
  • B might face criminal charges if found complicit in any abuse, so his statements might be self-serving.
  • Many abuses in relationships happen behind closed doors, making them difficult to witness even for close acquaintances.

Background on Tzuyang’s Allegations

Tzuyang previously went viral after exposing her ex-boyfriend’s abusive behavior, including:

  • Gaslighting
  • Physical abuse
  • Forced trafficking
