On July 11, YouTuber Hong Sound posted a video titled, “The former CEO who exploited Tzuyang, I will now tell the truth” online. This video exposed the truth behind the “under-the-table” paid promotion controversy.

He revealed that YouTuber Cham PD received much criticism online at that time.

During the ‘under-the-table’ paid promotion controversy, the news stated that Tzuyang had also been a part of it. Tzuyang then posted a video saying that she had not done any under-the-table paid promotions, and the criticism were pointed towards Cham PD instead. Cham PD then posted an apology video, and both Cham PD and Tzuyang held a live broadcast to explain the situation.

With this, netizens criticized Cham PD for attacking Tzuyang. Cham PD and his family suffered for several months because of this and were even attacked with stones while walking outside.

Hong made the video because he wanted to clear up the misunderstanding behind this incident and help clear Cham PD’s name.

“First off, Cham PD did not directly attack Tzuyang’s channel. During his broadcast, he was talking about ’under-the-table’ promotions and saw a comment asking if Tzuyang had done it, too. He replied, ‘I’ll talk about it later,’ but this spread online, making it look like Tzuyang had done it. Tzuyang’s former CEO tried to change public opinion by posting a message online.

But when public opinion didn’t change, he called Cham PD directly. The former CEO stated, ‘I did a lot of ‘under-the-table’ paid promotions behind Tzuyang’s back, and there’s talk about penalties. I can only think about dying as the only solution. I keep thinking about making an extreme choice with Tzuyang.’

After hearing that, Cham PD did everything the former CEO asked to try and save Tzuyang.”

During the live broadcast with Cham PD and Tzuyang, she became emotional and started crying, which only worsened Cham PD’s image. Cham PD received over 80,000 malicious comments, but he was ok with it because he felt that he was able to save someone.
