Jinny’s Kitchen, also known as Seojin’s, is set to return for its second season with the original cast – Choi Woo Shik, Lee Seo Jin, Go Min Si, and Jung Yu Mi. The news of Park Seo Joon’s return to the show had already sparked excitement among fans.
The team of Jinny’s Kitchen 2 had headed to Iceland a few weeks ago for the shooting schedule. Fans spotted Choi Woo Shik and Park Seo Joon participating in various activities for the filming shortly after. The anticipation is high, not just for the premiere of the new season, but also for the reunion of the actors from the last season.
The first season of Jinny’s Kitchen, which aired on tvN on February 24, 2023, was an instant hit thanks to its unique concept. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Bacalar, Mexico, it featured Lee Seo Jin as the novice owner of a Korean restaurant. Park Seo Joon played the manager, while Choi Woo Shik and BTS’ V starred as astute interns. Jung Yu Mi, the Train to Busan actress, took on the role of the supervisor.
The upcoming season is expected to follow a similar simulation narrative, but this time set in Iceland. While BTS member V couldn’t join the reunion due to his mandatory military enlistment, Go Min Si, the Sweet Home actress, is teaming up with Choi Woo Shik to act as a savvy intern.
The director of the last season of Jinny’s Kitchen, Na Young Seok, who is also known for the popular reality show 2 Days & 1 Night, has been confirmed to have directed the upcoming season. Although an official date for the show’s premiere hasn’t been revealed yet, it is expected to be released soon.
