Popular VTuber Ironmouse Leaves VShojo Over $500,000 Charity Donation Dispute

Ironmouse, one of the most famous VTubers in the world, has announced she is leaving the talent agency VShojo. She says the company owes her money and has not paid over $500,000 that was meant for a charity close to her heart.

The news came in a YouTube video posted on July 21, 2025, where Ironmouse explained her reasons for leaving. She said she could not share all details yet because of legal advice but promised to tell the full story later.

Why Ironmouse Left VShojo

Ironmouse claims that VShojo did not send money she raised for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). This charity helps people with immune system problems, like the condition she has called Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID).

She said:

“The Immune Deficiency Foundation is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo. As of right now, I am an independent VTuber.”

Ironmouse had asked VShojo to send the donation to IDF after her record-breaking subathon (a long streaming event where fans subscribe to support her). But a year later, the money still had not been paid.

The Charity Connection

The Immune Deficiency Foundation is very important to Ironmouse. She has donated half of her earnings from past subathons to IDF. With fellow streamer Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun, she helped raise $4 million for the charity before.

Her most recent subathon in September 2024 brought in $515,000 for IDF. But VShojo never sent the money.

“I just wanted to support a cause I fully believe in. This situation has broken me.”

Legal Issues and Emotional Pressure

Ironmouse said she is owed a “significant amount” of her own earnings too. She also felt pressured to stay with VShojo because the company told her leaving would hurt other talents and staff.

“I felt guilt-tripped because I was made to feel responsible for others in the company.”

Her lawyers have advised her not to share more details until legal steps are taken.

Other VShojo Departures

Ironmouse is not the first to leave VShojo this year. Other members like Zentreya (a co-founder), Matara Kan, and GEEGA also left recently. None of them publicly criticized VShojo, but Zentreya hinted at problems behind the scenes.

Ironmouse was a founding member of VShojo in November 2020. The agency was one of the first Western VTuber groups, helping talents with branding and sponsorships.

What Happens Next?

Ironmouse will now stream independently. She plans a special live stream in July to raise more money for IDF. All earnings from her announcement video will also go to the charity.

Fans and other VTubers have shown strong support. Dokibird donated $10,000 to a new IDF fundraiser, and many others shared messages online.

VShojo has not yet responded to Ironmouseโ€™s claims.

Ironmouseโ€™s Impact

With over 2.3 million Twitch followers, Ironmouse is one of the biggest VTubers globally. She started streaming in 2017 after her health stopped her from becoming an opera singer.

She inspired many fans, especially those with rare illnesses, by being open about her struggles.

“Mouse is who got me into VTubing. She made me feel less alone.” โ€“ A fan on Reddit

Her departure raises questions about VShojoโ€™s future, especially after losing multiple high-profile talents.
