Rosé of BLACKPINK has added another impressive achievement to her already remarkable career, securing a new Guinness World Record that marks a first in K-Pop history. This accomplishment brings her total to five world records, with two earned in 2025 alone.
Rosé’s latest Guinness World Record recognizes her as the first K-Pop artist to reach number one on the Apple Music Top 100 Global Chart. This confirmation comes after her hit song “APT.” with Bruno Mars topped the chart on October 24 of last year.
Global Success of “APT.”
The song “APT.” has seen widespread success across the globe, reaching number one on national charts from Australia to Venezuela. Rosé also became the first female K-Pop soloist to achieve a top 10 hit on the UK singles chart, later surpassing her own record by rising to number two. Moreover, “APT.” became the highest-charting K-Pop act on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which tracks the popularity of songs played on US radio. The collaboration has also received numerous awards, including “Song of the Year” at the Asia Artist Awards and a pending nomination for “Best Music Video” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Rosé’s Previous Records
This new record adds to Rosé’s existing collection of Guinness World Records. She previously earned a solo record by becoming the first artist to top the Billboard Global chart as both a soloist and a member of a group. In 2021, she broke the record for the most-viewed K-Pop music video in 24 hours with 41.6 million views, surpassing PSY’s 2013 record with “Gentleman.” Her album Rosie also achieved a Guinness World Record for the highest-charting female K-Pop album on the Billboard 200, debuting at number three. Earlier in 2025, she became the first female K-Pop act to enter the Billboard Radio Songs Top 10 chart.
